South China Railway suspends some trains due to Typhoon Huajiasha
Affected by the 18th typhoon of this year, "Huajiasha" (super typhoon level), China Railway Nanchang Group Co., Ltd. has adjusted some train operation plans.
Starting from 12:00 on September 23, China Southern Railway will gradually suspend some passenger trains from Jiangxi and Fujian provinces to and from Guangdong. On September 24, all passenger trains in the above directions will be suspended throughout the day.
To cope with the adverse effects of typhoons, South China Railway has launched a Level IV emergency response for flood and typhoon prevention in some sections of high-speed railways such as Fuzhou Xiamen, Fuping, Wenfu, Xiamen Shenzhen, and Longzhang, as well as some sections of ordinary speed railways such as Yingxia, Zhanglong, and Zhangquan. Based on wind speed and rain conditions, timely measures have been taken to suspend some passenger trains on railways such as Quning, Jiheng, and Shanghai Kunming within its jurisdiction.
When passengers cancel their tickets due to the suspension of the train, they can handle the refund procedures within 30 days after the date of ticket boarding from the announcement of the train suspension information, and no refund fee will be charged. The railway department reminds passengers to timely understand train operation information and plan their itinerary reasonably through station screens, broadcasts, announcements, or the 12306 website, APP, and other methods.
