On September 12th, a busy operation site at Zhangjiagang Port in Jiangsu Province saw the 77000 ton multi-purpose ship "GREEN SUAPE" carrying out loading operations in an orderly manner. After completing the loading of over 30000 tons of energy storage tanks, engineering equipment, ton bags, and round steel, the ship will set sail for South America and is expected to arrive at the port of Chancay in Peru in almost 32 days. This development not only marks the official entry of the sea freight logistics channel between Suzhou, Peru, and the South American continent into a new stage of "fixed liner, green and efficient", but also signifies the successful opening of the COSCO Shipping Special South American West Express (Suzhou Port Zhangjiagang Port Area Qiankai Port) liner, and the landing of China's first direct cargo liner route to Qiankai Port in Peru.

As an important result of the cooperation between China and Peru in deepening the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road", the route connection between Qiankai Port and Suzhou Port this time fills the gap in the "piece in one" liner express service in the region. On the basis of directly reaching the port of Chancay in Peru, this route also covers core ports along the west coast of South America, such as Iquique in Chile and Antofagasta in Chile, and shortens the average flight distance by 5 days compared to the market. In the future, this new route will inject strong impetus into the economic and trade exchanges between China and the west coast of South America, and help build a new land sea corridor connecting Asia and Latin America in the new era.
