Guizhou Guangxi Railway Upgrade 2.0 Version! Construction of a second line in the Guizhou section is expected to begin by the end of September!

       With the careful guidance and strong support of relevant departments such as the Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Natural Resources, China Railway Group recently approved the feasibility study report for the construction of the second line of the Guizhou section of the Guizhou Guangxi Railway in collaboration with the people of Guizhou Province.

       According to the approval, the Guizhou section starts from Longli Station in Guiyang Hub and goes south through Longli County, Duyun City, Dushan County in Qiannan Prefecture to the provincial border, with a total length of about 176.7 kilometers and a total investment of about 17.28 billion yuan. It has 9 stations including Guidingnan and Siting (excluding Longli), with a design speed of 160 kilometers per hour and a construction period of 4 years. At present, relevant provincial units are fully assisting the project owner, Shanghai Kunming Passenger Dedicated Line Guizhou Company, in promoting preliminary design, construction drawing design and other related work, striving to start construction before the end of September this year.

      The construction of the second line of the Guizhou Guangxi Railway has been included in 102 major projects in the 14th Five Year Plan, and is a major component of the main channel of the Western Land Sea New Corridor. The construction of the project will further accelerate the construction of the western land sea corridor, enhance the transportation capacity and quality of the existing Sichuan Guizhou and Guizhou Guangxi railways, and strengthen the safety and resilience of railway transportation.
