The newly built Suifenhe Tunnel on the "East Passage" of the China Europe Railway Express has been officially completed
On the morning of May 28th, in the newly built Suifenhe Tunnel of the Binsui Railway from Suifenhe to the border improvement project in Heilongjiang Province, with the mechanical equipment drilling through the 1-meter rock wall, the tunnel was successfully completed, marking a stage of progress in the Binsui Railway improvement project.
The Binsui Railway connects Harbin City and Suifenhe City in Heilongjiang Province, with a history of over a hundred years. It is a railway transportation channel for Heilongjiang Province to Russia and an important port for the "East Passage" of China Europe freight trains. Since the beginning of this year, the Suifenhe Station China Europe freight train has operated 149 trains with 6942 TEUs, with an import and export volume of 3.581 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 9%. In order to improve the transportation capacity of the port, China Railway Harbin Group Co., Ltd. has launched the quality improvement and renovation project of the Binsui Railway from Suifenhe to the border line, among which the Suifenhe Tunnel is a key control project of the project.
The renovation project includes one tunnel, three bridges, and six roadbeds. Among them, the Suifenhe Tunnel has a total length of 602 meters, and the exit is less than 400 meters away from the national border in a straight line. It is also a newly built "nested track" tunnel, which can meet the needs of trains with different gauge on the same line.
The design unit has carried out a "straight line renovation" of the existing line, designed a complete drainage system in the tunnel, added anti freezing and insulation design, and reserved conditions for the construction of new lines.
The construction unit introduces an "intelligent" platform and uses tunnel monitoring and measurement modules to ensure real-time visibility and controllability of tunnel excavation section monitoring, ensuring construction safety. And environmental instruments were used on the platform to monitor energy consumption and emissions in real time, reducing dust pollution.
It is reported that the quality improvement and renovation project of the Suifenhe border section of the Binsui Railway will be completed within the year. After it is put into use, the train running speed will be increased from 55 kilometers per hour to 120 kilometers per hour, which will further enhance cross-border transportation capacity and improve railway transportation safety.
