It only takes 23 days! Peru's Qiankai Port has successfully delivered the first batch of goods to Shanghai
On December 18, 2024 at 15:35, the "New Shanghai" vessel under COSCO Shipping successfully arrived at Yangshan Port after a 23 day voyage. This is the official voyage of "Qiankai Shanghai" completed by COSCO Shipping since the opening of Qiankai Port in Peru.
After the opening of Qiankai Port, the sea freight time from Peru to China has been significantly reduced to about 23 days. The goods carried on the "New Shanghai" ship this time include 24000 tons of local specialty fruits and mineral products such as blueberries and avocados from Peru. According to customs statistics, in the first 11 months of this year, China's total import and export value to Peru was 282.26 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17%. Among them, imported fruits and other agricultural products amounted to 15.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 22.7%.
The smooth opening of this route will not only help improve the quality and competitiveness of fresh produce, fruits, agricultural products and other commodities exported from Peru to China and even the Asian market, but also contribute to the construction of a three-dimensional, diversified and efficient interconnection pattern from Peru's coastal areas to inland areas and from Peru to Latin America.
