The first 10000 meter tunnel of the Xikang high-speed railway has been completed
On December 11th, the Huajiashan Tunnel of Xikang High speed Railway, designed by China Railway First Institute, constructed by Shaanxi Company of Xicheng Passenger Dedicated Line, and constructed by China Railway 19th Bureau, was successfully completed. This is the first 10000 meter tunnel to be completed on the Xikang High speed Railway, marking a stage of progress in the control engineering of the entire Xikang High speed Railway. As of now, 10 Xikang high-speed railway tunnels have been completed, accounting for 95.52% of the total designed tunnel engineering.
The Huajiashan Tunnel of the Xikang High speed Railway is located in the hinterland of the Qinling Mountains (within Ankang), with a total length of 13153 meters and a burial depth of 532 meters. The tunnel is mainly composed of phyllite and schist, which belong to soft rocks. The proportion of Class IV and V surrounding rocks is 73.4%, both of which are in an extremely high stress state. It is one of the key and difficult control projects of the Xikang High speed Railway.
Liu Ruichong, the project manager of the advanced geological prediction project for the Xikang high-speed railway tunnel at China Railway First Institute, introduced that in the early stage of construction, the institute organized a technical team to use a comprehensive geological advanced prediction method combining geological sketching inside the tunnel and geophysical advanced geological prediction. They successfully predicted two filled karst caves, providing reliable support for the high-quality and safe passage of the tunnel.
During the construction process, China Railway 19th Bureau introduced equipment such as three arm rock drilling rigs and anchor drills, and fully utilized intelligent lining rigs, wet spraying robots, and other equipment. At the same time, by optimizing construction processes and fixtures, actively promoting new technologies such as intelligent lining and injection molding, we have successfully overcome many difficulties such as poor geology and limited space, and created good results with a monthly footage of 201 meters for Grade III surrounding rock and 140 meters for Grade IV surrounding rock.
After the completion and opening of the Xikang high-speed railway, the running time of the Xi'an Ankang railway will be shortened from the current 3 hours to less than 1 hour. This will improve the level of passenger and freight transportation services in the areas along the route, which is of great significance for releasing the transportation demand between Guanzhong and southern Shaanxi, helping rural revitalization, and promoting local economic development.
