Panxing High speed Railway enters the operational testing phase

       At around 8:00 am on October 11, 2025, the 55901 inspection vehicle slowly drove out of Panzhou Station on the Shanghai Kunming High speed Railway - this iconic action announced the successful completion of the Panxing High speed Railway joint debugging and testing work, officially entering the operational testing stage. It also means that this line, which carries the mission of Guizhou's "city to city high-speed railway", is entering the countdown to its opening and operation.

       As an important channel connecting the Shanghai Kunming high-speed railway with the southwestern Guizhou region, the route and engineering scale of the Panxing high-speed railway are quite remarkable: the line starts from Panzhou Station, passes through Shiqiao Town, Xiangshui Town, Baotian Town in Panzhou City, and Qingshuihe Town in Xingyi City, and finally connects to the newly built Xingyi South Station. The total length of the main line is about 98 kilometers, and the designed speed is 250 kilometers per hour. Affected by the mountainous terrain of Guizhou, the construction of the railway line is not easy. There are a total of 46 bridges and 38 tunnels along the entire line, accounting for up to 90% of the total. It can be called a "high-speed railway passing through the mountains". In terms of station layout, there are a total of three stations on the line, among which Panzhou Station is a renovated station, Baotian Station and Xingyi South Station are newly built stations, taking into account both transportation connections and regional service functions.

       After entering the operational testing phase, the staff will conduct tests around multiple core tasks: testing the line's ability to respond to unexpected situations through fault simulation, improving safety procedures through emergency rescue drills, optimizing train efficiency through parameter testing of train operation diagrams, and verifying whether the overall transportation organization plan is suitable for operational needs through the practical mode of "running according to the diagram". These tests will provide scientific technical support for the subsequent official opening, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the line.

       For Guizhou, the significance of Panxing High speed Railway goes far beyond just an ordinary transportation route - it is the "one kilometer" for Guizhou Province to achieve the goal of "connecting cities with high-speed railways". After the completion and opening of the line, the travel time from Guiyang to Xingyi will be significantly reduced to less than 2 hours, and Guiyang and the central cities of 8 cities (prefectures) in the province will also form a comprehensive "1-2 hour high-speed rail transportation circle". This can not only further improve the layout of the railway network in Southwest China, but also accelerate the interconnection and intercommunication between Guizhou Southwest region and provincial capital cities and surrounding economic circles, inject new momentum into the development of local tourism resources and industrial synergy, and have a profound impact on promoting regional economic balance.
