Yantian Port Area realizes paperless order replacement operation for the entire process of the first order
Recently, the Hong Kong barge import heavy container business of South China COSCO Shipping Group successfully achieved paperless first order replacement throughout the entire process at Yantian Port.
This marks the further expansion of the platform's application scenarios after achieving paperless document exchange for liner imports in 2024. In the import business of the "Shenzhen Yantian Hong Kong Kwai Tsing" feeder ship, paperless document exchange has been achieved, and Yantian Port fully supports the import business of COSCO Shipping's electronic bills of lading (Seaway Bill) and Telex Release Bill, achieving paperless document exchange in all scenarios.
It is reported that this breakthrough is due to the enormous potential of cooperation between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, as well as the close cooperation and mutual trust between Yantian International and its barge partners.
The advantages of this business are reflected in multiple aspects: efficiency has increased significantly, from requiring 1-2 people to spend 1-2 days in the past, to now requiring only over 10 minutes for online operations; Simplify the process from 4 steps to 2 steps; Cost optimization, customers do not need to physically visit the site, significantly optimizing operational and labor costs; Safe and reliable, based on high-performance and high security blockchain architecture, using end-to-end encryption and smart contract technology to ensure secure, authentic and reliable data transmission, and finely control data access permissions; Green and low-carbon, paperless operation throughout the entire process, significantly reducing paper documents and logistics related carbon emissions, and supporting the sustainable development of port logistics.
It is reported that the Yantian Port Area blockchain paperless exchange platform, independently developed by Yantian International and Yantian Port International Information, aims to use digital technologies such as blockchain to completely transform the traditional paper-based exchange process and provide customers with safer, more efficient, and low-cost new port services.
In terms of future prospects, Yantian International stated that with the full coverage of China COSCO Shipping's import exchange business at Yantian Port, the platform application will continue to be promoted, and more shipping companies and agents will cooperate to jointly use this platform to complete import exchange business. At the same time, we will promote paperless document exchange for all import businesses, providing faster, safer, and more reliable services for shippers and partners in the entire port logistics ecosystem.
