On the morning of December 22nd, the first pure waterway transportation of Chilean cherries for the 2025-2026 season in Shenzhen's shipping industry docked at the Dachan Bay Container Terminal in Shenzhen, with a cargo volume of nearly 1000 tons, officially starting the peak season for the sea transportation supply of Chilean cherries in Shenzhen and the southern Chinese market.

This batch of cherries departs from San Antonio Port in Chile and is transported directly to Chile via the first "Cherry Express" from Shenzhen Port, with a sea voyage of about 23 days; For pure waterway direct transportation, without intermediate links, focusing on timeliness and freshness. The Dachan Bay Customs has implemented "advance declaration", "ship side direct pickup", and "one ship, one policy", opened green channels and dedicated platforms for fast inspection, and compliant containers can be unloaded and released from the gate in just 30 minutes, achieving seamless connection between unloading, inspection, and release. The Dachan Bay Port processed over 60% of the imported cherries by sea from Shenzhen Port in the previous season, making it the core hub for cherry imports in Shenzhen Port. This unloading has laid the foundation for the normalization of large-scale transportation during peak seasons. The cherry production season in Chile is concentrated from November to February of the following year, and December enters the peak season for shipping; This batch of cherries will quickly enter the pre holiday market in South China, and it is expected that the supply will continue to increase, reaching its peak in January and February next year. The price may further decline with the increase of supply. Importing companies have stated that the Dachan Bay route is faster and more efficient in customs clearance, which can effectively ensure the quality of cherries and meet the core demand of fresh food to "race against time".
