Starting from October 20, 2025, the railway department will optimize and upgrade the "Railway Smooth Travel" frequent flyer membership service. The core upgrade includes the addition of specific age group point discounts and online seat point upgrade functions. The specific rules are as follows:
1、 Points Promotion Upgrade: Added Double Points Benefit for 14-28 Year Old Members
This upgrade adjusts the points accumulation rules for members of different age groups, further enhancing the benefits for members.
Basic points rule: Ordinary frequent flyer members can accumulate 5 times the face value of the ticket after purchasing and boarding; Senior members who are over 60 years old can enjoy 15 times the face value points.
New benefits for young members: Frequent flyer members aged 14 to 28 can accumulate points up to 10 times the face value after purchasing tickets and boarding, which is twice that of regular members.
For example, if the ticket purchase amount is 1000 yuan, ordinary members can accumulate 5000 points (which can be deducted by 50 yuan), and members aged 14-28 can accumulate 10000 points (which can be deducted by 100 yuan).
Attention: Frequent flyer members who purchase student discount tickets will not be eligible for the double points discount for those aged 14-28.
2、 New seat upgrade function: Points can be redeemed for seat upgrade during transit
Members can use their points to exchange for seat upgrades within the unused section of their original ticket during the ride, making the process more flexible and convenient.
Processing method: During the ride, members can apply for seat promotion in two ways: one is to scan the "Railway Smooth Travel" QR code on the seat armrest to register their needs; The second is to directly contact the train staff to handle it.
Principle of handling: Train staff will promptly handle the promotion procedures for members based on the current availability of seats.
Refund and change rules: New tickets that have been upgraded with points cannot be refunded or changed; If the upgraded ticket cannot be used due to force majeure or railway liability, a refund can be processed, and the points corresponding to the section that was not upgraded will be refunded to the member's account.
