The energy overload channel of the Wari Railway is undergoing centralized spring repair construction

      On March 9, 2025, the Wanri Railway, a heavy load transportation channel for Shanxi coal, will carry out a 20 day spring concentrated repair construction, fully restoring the line facilities and equipment status after the Spring Festival travel rush, and laying a solid foundation for energy transportation during peak summer season.

      The Wari Railway starts from Watang Town, Xing County, Lvliang City, Shanxi Province in the west and ends at Rizhao Port in Shandong Province in the east, crossing the three provinces of Shanxi, Henan, and Shandong. It is an important channel for transporting coal from the west to the east. During this year's Spring Festival travel rush, more than 13.7 million tons of goods were transported. In order to restore the performance status of the line after high load operation in a timely manner, from March 9th to March 28th, the Waki Railway arranged 180 minutes a day to suspend all trains, concentrate personnel, materials, and equipment, and carry out three-dimensional centralized maintenance of facilities and equipment such as overhead contact networks, ground lines, and underground optical cables.

      This is also the second centralized repair and construction of the Vajra Railway since its passenger service was opened at the end of September 2024. Within 20 days of centralized construction, China Railway Taiyuan Bureau will invest more than 20 large machines, nearly 100 small machines, and a team of 1400 people to replace 17525 railway sleepers in sections of the Wari Railway, complete 21.96 kilometers of large machine screening, 146.733 kilometers of large machine tamping line, 140 sets of tamping turnouts, 291.6 kilometers of grinding line and other construction tasks, and rectify tunnel diseases. Comprehensive maintenance and repair of equipment such as signal machines and contact networks will also be carried out.
