Accelerating the construction of the Yangtze River Delta on track

     According to China Railway Shanghai Group Co., Ltd., by 2025, the Yangtze River Delta region plans to complete and operate four projects, including the Hangzhou Quzhou high-speed railway and the Zhenjiang East freight yard. Two projects, including the Liuqing railway and the Shangyuanmen cross river passage, will also begin construction. The construction of 32 ongoing projects, including the Huaisu Bengbu intercity railway, the Ninghuai intercity railway, and the Jinjian railway, will be promoted. The preliminary work for projects such as the Wenfu high-speed railway and the Shanghai Zhahang high-speed railway will also be advanced. The annual construction investment is expected to exceed 130 billion yuan, and the total scale of ongoing investment will remain above 800 billion yuan. The construction of the "Yangtze River Delta on the track" will be accelerated.

     In 2025, the key and difficult railway projects in the Yangtze River Delta will enter a period of intensive promotion. The shield tunneling construction of six tunnels, including the Chongtai Yangtze River Tunnel of the Shanghai Chongqing Chengdu Yangtze River High speed Railway and the Yanyi High speed Railway Cross river Channel, will be carried out simultaneously. The construction of 906 special span bridges for railways such as Chaoma Intercity and Jinjian will be carried out in a centralized manner.

     Shanghai Railway Group is responsible for railway construction and operation management in the Yangtze River Delta region. In January of this year, the investment in railway construction in the Yangtze River Delta region reached 5.172 billion yuan.
